The Azeroth Calendar used here is an approximation based on World of Warcraft lore. Year 0 marks the Culling of Stratholme during the Third War, with the present day roughly aligned to Year 28-40 (circa 2025 in real-world terms, adjusted for roleplay). [Character’s] birth year is estimated from their age relative to the Culling. The Northern Kingdoms’ custom months (e.g., Springtide for March) overlay this timeline, with dates flexible to fit roleplay narratives. [Adjust this note if needed based on Nashlette’s backstory.]
The Azeroth Calendar here uses the After Dark Portal (ADP) system, where Year 0 marks the Dark Portal’s opening, and Year 20 ADP aligns with the Culling of Stratholme during the Third War. <u>The current year is 40 ADP</u> (or 1150 F.A). Nashlette was around 29 before the Culling, with her birth year being 9 Before Dark Portal (BDP).

(TW: Childhood abuse, alcoholism, rape)

Nashlette Songstorm (originally Nashlette Morrow) was born on Verdantfall 24th, 9 BDP (or 1101 F.A. on the Gilnean calendar), on the eastern outskirts of Gilneas City. She grew up to a mother, father, and a sister in a small farmstead, however early on her sister was taken away to live with a distant relative, meaning Nashlette barely got to see her. She grew up pretty poor as well. Her father worked the farmstead and worked a little in the city, and he was a raging alchoholic. He frequently beat her and abused her throughout her childhood, both physically and verbally. To the point she even has some of his scars decades later. While her mother was better, that doesn't mean she didn't mistreat Nashlette either. She especially used Nashlette as an ashtray to put out cigarettes, and she also drank excessively, but Nash had a much better relationship with her.

When she was 7 she started picking up on her parents bad habbit and started drinking to escape her stresses and abuse, which started her on the path of alcoholism which she still has problems with in the present day. Later on in her early tween years, she was playing in a nearby meadow at dusk when she encountered a couple demons seemingly plotting something. The demons noticed her and assaulted her. She was unconscious for most of it, but she knew they sexually assaulted her. The demons took care not to actually kill her, but it was quite painful for her. What Nashlette didn't know was the demons implanted some dormant and latent Fel (and demonic) energies in Nashlette too, spreading their corruption, even if it was inactive. While the demons didn't have to infect Nashlette that way, they wanted to torment and hurt the young human before leaving her naked in the middle of a dark cave. This and the abuses she faced early on contributed to Nashlette's messed up psyche, and seemingly too carefree and apathetic attitude to serious things (like towards death, crime, and horrible things), as well are more prominent emotions such as anger and slightly unstable thinking (even before her Fel Corruption arc).

Around this time she also turned to a life of petty crimes and theft to survive, because she wasn't taken care of well at home. She'd steal bread, food, and other essentials from small shops around the city, and she'd get caught frequently. But she wouldn't be heavily punished because she was a minor. This led her to persuing more criminal jobs and work in the future. In the year 6 ADP when she was 15, she came home one night to find her mother beaten and murdered by her father in a drunken rage. Her father attempted to assault and choke Nashlette out, but she was nimble and fast, and so she took a knife and stabbed him through his throat, killing him. This was the first time Nashlette had killed anyone, so she was terrified and overwhelemed at the sight of her mother and father's corpses soaked in thick crimson blood, gore, and glass shards. In a panic she packed her bags and ran away from home, away from the country, and away from the authorities too. She fled to Hillsbrad Foothills by boat.

This was at the start of the Second War, and the Horde just made landfall in Lordaeron (Hillsbrad), so she was dragged into the war and fought on the side of the Alliance. And despite still being a teenager, she used the skills she aquired previously to help. She learned how to fight and how to use weapons. She mainly prefered lightweight weapons such as daggers or shortswords, and early pistols. And of course she had to stomach killing more. This was her first steps to becoming a full fledged rogue. After the war's conclusion she returned to Gilneas to start her new life by herself, without her parents. She bought a shoddy apartment in the city with the money she made in the military, and began her new life as a rogue of the criminal underworld.

In Nashlette's young adult life and 20's she worked in theft, the drug trade, smuggling, racketeering, and when she got older she dipped her toes in murder and assassinations for coin (as well as other small gigs for coin), becoming dangerous and proficient in what she did as she improved her skills and talents. She made many contacts,"friends" and associates along the way. She mainly worked in the country of Gilneas, but she also did business in neighboring countries too, even after Gilneas secluded itself from the Alliance (when she was 25). She doesn't concern herself with politics at all. It was around this time when she looked into shadow magic, falling for its allure when she saw one of her rogue colleagues use it. She wasn't personally affected or involved in the Third War because of Gilneas' isolation. When the Northgate Rebellion started, she didn't get involved in it because of her line of work. And she also didn't really care either. It was difficult to stay out of the crossfire though. And her time in Gilneas is when she started on her alchemy profession on the side of her rogue work.

Many years later, around the time of the Northrend campaign (when she was 36), the worgen started attacking the country. She joined the resistance to try and defend her home, because despite her work she loved her homeland and didn't want to see it fall, but a few months later she got infected and turned into a feral worgen. She later got captured, and was used for experimental potions on controlling the worgen curse and giving worgen's their mind back, and fortunately she was successful in getting her mind back thanks to Krennan, even if it was a temporary solution though. A year after the start of the worgen invasion, the Shattering happened, which started to crack and split open the very land under them. This caused the reefs that protected Gilneas to be destroyed, and caused the Horde and the Forsaken to launch an invasion into Gilneas. Nashlette put aside her differences with the law and authorities and joined the military/resistance in protecting Gilneas from the invasion on both fronts. The Forsaken's invasion left a bad taste in her mouth with the Forsaken to this day. She supplied potions and weapons for her people, including joining the fighting herself with assassinating and killing Forsaken soliders, even after the worgen stopped attacking. As events progresed, she found herself in the Blackwald, where she met up with the other worgen survivors and the Kaldorei. After the Scepter of Elune was reclaimed from the Forsaken, the Kaldorei used it in a ritual called the Ritual of Balance to purge the worgen's feral instincts and bloodlust. It didn't cure the curse completely, but the ritual gave her mind mostly back and her sanity from before she was infected, and the ability to shapeshift back to her human form. Nashlette returned to the fight, and joined for the Battle for Gilneas City. The Gilneans ultimately won the battle, but at the cost of their prince, Prince Liam Greymane, being killed by Sylvanas, as well as the Gilneans abandoning the city to flee to Keel Harbor. After one last stand in the Headlands, with the help of the 7th Legion, they took down the Horde airship. But, with a statemate on both sides, the Horde and Alliance decided to abandon Gilneas. The Gilneans fled to Darnassus, where the Kaldorei welcomed them into their home, and eventually joining the Grand Alliance, with Nashlette joining too.

She left most of her possessions behind in Gilneas when she fled, but she found a new home in Darnassus. She decided to stay there and live among the Night Elves and her people. With this sudden upheaval in her life, she decided to rethink her life and what she wanted to do with it. With her losing a lot of her old contacts, she wanted to cut back on a life of a crime. She also tried to quit drinking for a period of time (which failed miserably). She cut back on her criminal acts, or at least scaled back her work compared to the things she was doing in Gilneas. She joined the Kaldorei rogue in Darnassus, and worked with them. She also focused more on alchemy, and focused a lot of her time on improving and learning the herbs and potions of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. As well as learning the language of the Kaldorei, Darnassian. Eventually once she settled down in Darnassus, she turned towards new work. And so she began working as a merchant and trader, selling her alchemy works and other items (illicitly procured <small>(stolen)</small> or not). She made new contacts, both in the northern half of Kalidmor and in the Eastern Kingdoms too, namely Stormwind. Even if she was still doing shady work as a rogue, she made sure not to bring most of her work to Darnassus or Teldrassil - as she wanted to respect the Night Elven people, their home, and their culture too - and not get kicked out or have bad relations with them. And she grew to like the Night Elves too. At a couple points she got caught in Stormwind and sent to the Stockades for petty theft and fraud, while avoiding more serious charges against her (that might've or might've not happened~).

When the conflict in Pandaria happened, she didn't take part in the fighting, but she instead explored the continent for adventure and for crafting purposes (with her alchemy, herbalism, and for trading). She eventually joined the Anglers and enjoyed fishing with them in Krasarang Wilds. She also spent time with the Order of the Cloud Serpent in the Jade Forest, where she eventually found herself caring for a small jade Cloud Serpent which she grew close with and eventually he became Nashlette's mount. Towards of the end of her time in Darnassus, she managed to and was allowed to bond with a Hippogryph, and she became Nashlette's mount too - the two met in Teldrassil. She didn't get involved in faction conflicts (and didn't want to) despite her resenting the Forsaken for taking her home in Gilneas away, even if she got into some altercations with the opposite faction at times (unrelated to faction conflicts/wars). She traveled to Alternate Draenor during the war that took place there with the Iron Horde and Legion for a short time. And during the Third Invasion of the Burning Legion she traveled to Dalaran and joined the Uncrowned after proving herself to the rogue order, where she fought in the war against the Legion - a sort of personal vendetta (revenge) mission from her childhood experience with demons she wanted to sate.

Around the time of 33 ADP, when she was 42, tensions between the Alliance and Horde were high after they worked togther to stop the Legion invasion. Soon enough Warchief Sylvanas launched an invasion into Ashenvale and Darkshore, and the War of Thorns started. Nashlette didn't think too much of it at first, neither did she get involved, but throughout the weeks long invasion, it culminated into the Burning of Teldrassil - where the Bitch Queen ordered the burning of the World Tree, including Darnassus, Nashlette's home. She was in the city at the time, and she helped with evacuations, as well as trying to save what she could of her belongings before the city collapses. It all happened so suddenly and so fast that Nashlette didn't have much time to think or process it at first. She escaped through the portal right before the whole city is destroyed, where she ends up in Stormwind along with the other Darnassian refugees. This confusion twists into anger and frustration; frusterated that she didn't help try and prevent it, and angry that she lost another home due to the Horde. She became homeless and didn't have a permanent residence, even if she stayed in Stormwind most of the time. Some of her contacts helped her out though. When the Kaldorei and Gilnean armies prepared for war to take back Darkshire, Nashlette took part; wanting to vent her anger and frustrations towards the Horde and help the Kaldorei. And so she fought in the Battle of Darkshore. After nearly getting killed, she was satisfied that they won, so she returned to Stormwind where she makes it her new home, and settles on a place to live.
A few months go by and she's looking for new work - so she decides to continue being a merchant, and she joins a merchant guild called the Traders of the North. Where she makes new friends, and aids her colleagues in more than just trading - such as using her skills as a rogue to help and go on adventures with them. (More details about her history after this point are in "Roleplay History") Nashlette, after working for them for a few months, eventually became corrupted with Fel energy. While helping a mutual friend (friend of a friend of the guild), arcane energy flooded her body, and after it was expelled it caused the dormant Fel energies from her childhood to activate. She caused problems for the guild, and the people of the Kingdom of Stormwind as a whole. Eventually she was stopped by her friend Ellienore, and Gwendolyn, a person she met before who revived and tried controlling her. She stayed in contact with Ellie (but not Gwen), while she found another job as a bartender at the Rose Garden Tavern in Lakeshire. Eventually going to the Shadowlands when the veil opens up. Upon returning, and after a few years, she wanted to reconcile with her former friends, and Ellienore who she lost contact with. This is where she met Lina'ven after failing to meet with Ellie, and soon became entangled in a conspiracy, with her past coming to bite her. Eventually becoming Lina'ven's apprentice, to try and control and harness her Fel energies and become a warlock.
Currently: She's helping Lina'ven as her servent in exchange for being her warlock apprentice, and she and Lina are trying to restore Ellienore's missing and fragmented memories. She still has connections to the Uncrowned, although the problems she caused under the influence of Fel magic strained their relationship. The crimes and troubles she commited while corrupted with Fel magic hadn't gone unnoticed by Stormwind, so she's wanted by the Kingdom and has a bounty set out for her even years after her Fel Corruption arc. And she's trying to be a better person after the evil she caused before, even if she's still a rogue, and continues to do rogue work. And she's still of course an alchoholic <small>(her poor liver)</small>.
Appearance
She stands as a 6 foot female human, with a physique that prioritizes slimness, flexibility, but isn't skinny or underweight. She has medium-long deep reddish brown hair, remnicent of her Gilnean heritage. Her eyes are glowing fel green from the dark magic she carries, and she has piercings above her left eyelid, a side nose ring, and rings on her ears. There's an enchanted necklace around her neck as well. On her arms are dark green demonic-like tattoos, including a glowing green flame on her back using glowing ink. Her right arm, up to her elbow, is completely prosthetic and made of a metallic-like material, which she controls with anima energy, making it function like a normal arm (it even morphs depending on her form). Although her attire depends on the day, one of her casual sets is a dark vest with light cloth covering the arms, resembling a merchant's attire. The main outfit she uses are a set of dark, yet stylish rogue leather armor with some cloth bits for flair, that provide flexibility and also protection. A dark cloak with a hood is attached, which can allow her to hide hidden weaponry or bags and cover her head if needed. There's also a black scarf around her neck which can be used as a face mask to obscure her face. Her clothes and armor were tailor crafted with Nashlette's transformation in mind.
In her Worgen form she stands taller at 7'5", with dark black fur (with lighter bits around the face), scruffy hair that covers her face a little, and still keeping the glowing fel green eyes. She uses magic to keep her clothes from ripping whenever she transforms. One of her fangs are missing. Her worgen facial features are soft, but they carry a slight glare, and she can still use her appearance to intimidate. She has some light scarring on both forms' faces.

After the Arcane magic was expelled, the latent Fel energies expanded throughout her body, slowly corrupting her mind, and causing her to become a slave to her own Fel magic and the remnants of the Burning Legion. Thus starting her Fel Corruption Arc. She became a villian during this period, and caused a lot of problems for her close friends, colleagues, and the people of the Kingdom of Stormwind with her potent Fel magic (even crafting multiple disguises to hide in plain sight). She killed, kidnapped, tortured, and injured others - - even more than before as a rogue/thief/assassin, where she was more logical, merciful (non-brutal), and tame, and only did what she needed to.
* At one point she was confronted and surrounded by members of the guild in Stormwind, including Ellienore. She jumped off a tower to her death to avoid capture, but she was ressurected with Holy magic. She was taken to Honor Hold in Outland, where Ellienore attempted to administer a cure, however Nash shifted to her worgen form and broke free, killing (or nearly killing) Ellienore in the process and escaping. This led to a demon hunter hunting the corrupted rogue and killing her. But after the battle, Gwendolyn ressurected Nashlette using Hemomancy.
* At one point she was confronted and surrounded by members of the guild, including Ellienore, in Stormwind. This led to a Sin'dorei demon hunter hunting the corrupted rogue and killing her. However after the battle, Gwendolyn Palerose brought her back to life using Hemomancy.
* Gwendolyn tried to strike a deal with Nashlette, by having Nash be her "pet" while also trying to steer Nashlette into being good, however Nashlette broke the agreement by continuing her killing and her evil plans. This led to Gwendolyn and Ellienore (who survived, and spent time in Alternate Draenor to find a cure) devising a plan to stop Nashlette. Towards the end of the year, the two confronted the worgen in Stormwind where she was subdued, and Ellienore gave her the cure. The cure didn't expell all the Fel in Nashlette's body, however it gave her mind back, letting Nashlette think for herself again -- and ending the Fel Corruption.
* After Nashlette was cured, she and Ellienore remained in close contact, even if she was distanced from the rest of the guild, which at this point has been disbanded. She tried reconciling with some of her previous friends. Gwen didn't want to keep in contact at all though. Eventually she got another job as a barkeep & security at the Rose Garden Tavern in Lakeshire, where she worked there for many months, and grew close with some of the other workers (a Sethrak warlock she worked with even taught her a few things on harnessing her Fel powers, which started her on the path of becoming a warlock). She tried bettering herself at this point, even going to therapy to deal with the trauma the Fel Corruption arc had on her, and what she had done to her friends, even if she wasn't ready to give up her Fel energy.
* One time when she was with Ellienore, they found themselves in an abandoned keep in Redridge Mountains, where they encountered a powerful Harpy sorcereress named Shar and some of her army. A confrontation ensued between them, leading to Shar to snatching Nashlette's soul and placing it in a soulshard. However things ended when Ellienore freed Nash, stunned her army, and lastly banished Shar's soul to the Shadowlands before the two escaped.
* On Frostwane (Nov) of 35 ADP, Nashlette sends a resignation letter to her boss, quiting her job at the tavern to persue recent events. Around this time, the veil to the afterlife is shattered by Sylvanas, leaving a massive rift in the sky above Icecrown. As soon as Nashlette heard about this, she looked into information regarding to how to enter the Shadowlands. She wanted to see those she's lost, especially her pets (Cinders). So she spent the next year or two in the Shadowlands, brokering deals with Brokers, finding new recipes and alchemical potions in the afterlife, and being the "hero" when she can. She joined the Revendreth covenant, helping out the Venthyr, and eventually taking the fight to the Maw. She also died once in the Maw and used a Soulstone to revive herself.
* After returning from the Shadowlands sometime after the Jailor was killed, she returned to her secluded home in Gilneas. She reunited with her mounts who she left in the care of a trusted contact. And for some years after, she mainly kept to herself, hiding from the Stormwind Crown (because of the crimes she's commited, both under the influence and not), and keeping her Fel energies and emotions in check while also pursuing greater control and mastery over it, while at the same time sort of losing herself and letting herself go from depression.
* Roleplay within Epsilon: On Springtide (Mar) of 40 ADP, 8 months before the rediscovery of the Dragon Isles, she went to Ellienore's farmstead to try and reconnect with her, as she hadn't seen or spoken to her in years after going to the Shadowlands. But she was eventually turned away by Lina'ven, and some Argent Crusade members chased her off. She returned to her Gilneas home to drink herself to death and question why that happened, but a few hours later, Lina'ven and Ellie break into Nash's home, and after a short confrontation, Lina subdues and captures Nash.
* She was taken to a warded cell in Lina'ven's home on Y'lygari, where she found out about Ellie's supposedly missing memories from curing Nash's Fel Corruption and everything between Nash & Ellie that happened after, and also that she was framed for a threatening letter she didn't write to her old guild leader. Lina'ven and Ellienore debriefed on what to do with Nashlette, before Ellie put Nash's fate in Lina's hands. Lina'ven decided to not turn Nash in to Stormwind's authorities and keep her after Nashlette persuaded her she was innocent and could be useful. So for 6 months Lina turned Nash into an assistant but also an apprentice; she agreed to teach Nash how to become a full fledged warlock, and how to harness her Fel powers and control it alongside her Shadow magic. During those months she mostly spent it on Y'lygari, but she was free to come and go for the most part. However their current objective was to find a way to find Ellienore's missing memories.

Calendar Note[edit | edit source]

The Azeroth Calendar here uses the After Dark Portal (ADP) system, where Year 0 marks the Dark Portal’s opening, and Year 20 ADP aligns with the Culling of Stratholme during the Third War. The current year is 40 ADP (or 1150 F.A). Nashlette was around 29 before the Culling, with her birth year being 9 Before Dark Portal (BDP).

The Northern Kingdom's custom months (e.g., Springtide for March, and Verdantfall for August) overlay this timeline. Verdantfall is Nash's birth month.

Biography[edit | edit source]

And so she began working as a merchant and trader, selling her alchemy works and other items (illicitly procured (stolen) or not).

And she's still of course an alchoholic (her poor liver).

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Roleplay History[edit | edit source]

 • ((Roleplay history with Nashlette started on Febuary 2019, in the first quarter of the Battle for Azeroth expansion.))
 • On Elderglow (Feb) 34 ADP, Nashlette joined the Traders of the North guild as a merchant, and notably became good friends with the guild leader, Syelia Nussuldras, Ellienore Bradley, and Beryl Shrike, who she went on adventures with.
 • A few months after joining, dormant Fel energies within her activated upon Arcane energies suddenly being introduced in her body.
 • At one point she was confronted and surrounded by members of the guild, including Ellienore, in Stormwind. This led to a Sin'dorei demon hunter hunting the corrupted rogue and killing her. However after the battle, Gwendolyn Palerose brought her back to life using Hemomancy.
 • Gwendolyn tried to strike a deal with Nashlette, by having Nash be her "pet" while also trying to steer Nashlette into being good, however Nashlette broke the agreement by continuing her killing and her evil plans.
 • After Nashlette was cured, she and Ellienore remained in close contact, even if she was distanced from the rest of the guild, which at this point has been disbanded.
 • One time when she was with Ellienore, they found themselves in an abandoned keep in Redridge Mountains, where they encountered a powerful Harpy sorcereress named Shar and some of her army. A confrontation ensued between them, leading to Shar to snatching Nashlette's soul and placing it in a soulshard. However things ended when Ellienore freed Nash, stunned her army, and lastly banished Shar's soul to the Shadowlands before the two escaped.
 • On Frostwane (Nov) of 35 ADP, Nashlette sends a resignation letter to her boss, quiting her job at the tavern to persue recent events.
 • After returning from the Shadowlands sometime after the Jailor was killed, she returned to her secluded home in Gilneas.
 • Roleplay within Epsilon: On Springtide (Mar) of 40 ADP, 8 months before the rediscovery of the Dragon Isles, she went to Ellienore's farmstead to try and reconnect with her, as she hadn't seen or spoken to her in years after going to the Shadowlands.
 • She was taken to a warded cell in Lina'ven's home on Y'lygari, where she found out about Ellie's supposedly missing memories from curing Nash's Fel Corruption and everything between Nash & Ellie that happened after, and also that she was framed for a threatening letter she didn't write to her old guild leader.

Nash's Worgen Form Pre-Fel (with AI)

Timewarp Stone - A dark, small smooth stone with a purple rune inscribed on it, that looks akin to a hearthstone. It's able to transport the user back to the past after activating it with a small ritualistic incantation. It's configured to transport the user to the years 30-33, before the War of Thorns. Nashlette uses this stone to go back to her home in Darnassus. It's disputed whether it actually transports the user back in time or just creates a pocket dimension. Stolen from a haughty mage in the Mage Quarters in Stormwind.

Enchanted Stone Ring - Allows the wearer to preform basic arcane cantrips, and can unlock any non-magical locks (and any low tier ward locks). Received from a guildmate pre-corruption.

Orb of Shadows - Allows the user to harness its power; increases and enhances the users shadow energy/magic for a limited time. Recieved as a boon from a Voidwalker.

Enchanted Necklace - Lets the user resist most charm and mind control effects, most effective against demons and Succubi.

Communication Stone - A small smooth stone with glowing runes, letters, and numbers inscribed on it. It's enchanted to allow for long-distance communication with any attuned devices. It can do telepathic communication (meaning there's no need to actually speak when talking with the other reciever). The signal can even reach other distant planets, planes, and time periods (within the World of Warcraft universe). Created and gifted by Lina'ven.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
